Mealift: Recipes & Meal Planner ("Mealift", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address as provided by those services.
User Content
We store the recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists you create within the app. This content is stored securely and associated with your account.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage data to improve the app, such as which features are used most frequently. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Mealift service
- To sync your recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists across devices
- To enable AI integrations you choose to connect (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude)
- To improve and optimize the app experience
- To communicate important service updates
AI Integrations
Mealift allows you to connect your recipe data to AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude. When you enable an AI integration, your recipe and meal plan data may be shared with the respective AI service to fulfill your requests. You control which integrations are active and can disconnect them at any time.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard infrastructure with encryption at rest and encrypted connections. We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Apple / Google Sign-In — optional authentication
Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing their handling of your data.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers.
Children's Privacy
Mealift is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and export your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of optional data collection
